Book Tour Hosts

Friday, January 25th, 2008

We’ve had a great response to our invitation of becoming one of our Virtual Book Tour Hosts.  It looks like our tour will be starting on Monday, 11th February 2008 and finishing 5 weeks later.

We will be publishing the schedule over the next couple of days as well as a profile of each one of our hosts.

Supporting a Cause

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

As part of our Virtual Book Tour we are going to pledge 10% of our website sales during the tour to sponsoring one or two small businesses through Kiva.org.

Tara and I feel very passionate about giving back when and where we can.  The beauty of the Kiva loan is that once the money is paid back, we can reloan it to another small business.

Personally, I have sponsored 4 small business.  The first two small businesses, Blessing Isehrenren in Nigeria and Alma Patricia Urrutia Bernal in Mexico paid back their loans fairly quickly which allowed me to reloan the money.  I’m now sponsoring Rosa Santiz Perez in Mexico and Adila Musayeva in Azerbaijan.

So if there is any time to buy the journal, it is during the Virtual Book Tour staring on Monday, 11 February 2008.  Stay Tuned!

Tour Being Planned

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

We are in the process of planning our very first Virtual Book Tour!

The objective of this tour is to generate a buzz about our guided writing journal, Journal for the Modern Goddess and ultimately increase the sales of our journal through our website and partnering retailers.  We would also like to establish a Goddess Sisterhood of supportive, like-minded women.

Invitations will be sent Monday, 14th January and announcements will be made during that week.  If you are interested in becoming a Tour Host, please let us know - the more the merrier we say!

Until next time, enjoy your day!

Happy New Year

Welcome to 2008 and our Virtual Book Tour blog!

A virtual book tour works the same way as a real-life book tour however, instead of stopping by actual bookstores, gift stores and the like, we are touring the virtual world and stopping by blogs, websites, online stores and radio shows.  The virtual book tour enables us to travel the world, three times over without needing a passport or a packed suitcase.

We hope to be touring the world many times over through out 2008 and beyond.

With magical love and light,
Tara and Nicole
